Clean Water Wells Project Completed
Back to News
The community well rehabilitation project has concluded, bringing clean water access to five villages that had previously relied on unreliable and often contaminated surface water sources.
Over the life of the project, teams drilled new wells and repaired existing ones in partnership with local labor, while village water committees were trained to handle routine maintenance going forward. Early feedback from residents points to a noticeable drop in reported cases of waterborne illness since the wells came online.
KHAI will continue to check in with village water committees periodically to support any maintenance needs that arise as the wells see sustained daily use.
